Busy, Busy!

The second week of September is going to be a doozy! I have to make a two-tiered Southern Miss birthday cake AND a two-tiered wedding cake AND 3 dozen diamond ring-shaped cookies! Oh my! So, if you need me, I'll be in the kitchen! :)

The Wonderful World of Fondant


I love to cover my cakes with rolled fondant. Fondant is a soft, sugar mass that is rolled out like pie crust. It is draped and smoothed over a cake to make a beautiful, soft matte finish. Rolled fondant is versatile. It can be colored, flavored, modeled, formed, twisted, imprinted, and cut out. This edible decoration tastes like a marshmallow. Not only does fondant look beautiful, but it also keeps the cake moist and delicious longer! As stated above the price list, cakes decorated with fondant cost 50 cents extra per serving.
